SPTI is a global leader in local language productions. In Asia, productions span China, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. With Sony Pictures Entertainment’s acquisition of the Dutch entertainment company 2waytraffic in 2008, SPE now has one of the largest gameshow portfolios in the world.

We have licensing deals with many of the major on-demand platforms in Asia. Our competitive advantage is our ability to execute ground-breaking deals such as “day-and-date” VOD agreements in Singapore and South Korea.
Mobile
SPTI’s mobile content is carried by many major operators and content aggregators in the region, and is the first Hollywood Studio to have its movies offered on-demand via mobile phones in South Korea through SKT’s platform. In terms of programming, SPTI offers a full array of content, from personalisation products to motion-sensing mobile games (CJ7) to streaming anime mobile TV channel, Animax mobile. In 2008, SPTI successfully launched its first multi-platform property, Afterworld, and in Q4 2008, the company will be introducing Gemini Division, the latest cross-platform action drama starring Rosario Dawson.
