Two Brothers Pictures breaks into Japan in three-series deal

Japan’s Wowow and Tohokushinsha Film Corporation (TFC) have picked up rights to three scripted series – including Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s “Fleabag” – giving U.K. production house Two Brothers Pictures its first exposure in the country. The deals were sealed by all3media international.

The other two series sold into Japan in the run up to the Asia TV Forum, which opens in Singapore tomorrow, are “Liar”, a six-episode thriller starring Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd produced for ITV and AMC; and the six-episode “Baptiste”, starring Tcheky Karyo as a stubborn investigator produced for BBC One.

Wowow acquired both seasons of "Fleabag", and season one of "Liar".

TFC, which recently acquired three-part drama “Mrs Wilson” from all3media international, bought rights to "Baptiste".

The three series are produced by Two Brothers Pictures – an all3media group producer - in association with all3media international.
