Hooq adds 50 uCast channels to streaming line up

Singapore-based regional streaming platform Hooq has partnered with uCast to add up to 50 online/short-form channels to its freemium offering in one of Asia’s most fiercely fought over streaming markets.

Fifteen of the new channels start rolling out in Indonesia this month on Hooq’s free platform.

Channels include Buzzfeed, Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, In-Style and Fail Army.

Hooq already carries 16 free to air channels, including the newly launched Al Jazeera, and is promising more by the end of the year.

Hooq is offering the new services in either the local language or with Bahasa Indonesia subtitles.
