Netflix releases Japanese free-TV broadcaster TBS’s drama "Sins of Kujo" on 2 April. The series, led by Yuya Yagira as Taiza Kujo and Hokuto Matsumura as elite lawyer Shinji Karasuma, is a live‑action adaptation of Shohei Manabe’s manga.
"Sins of Kujo" probes the line between justice and corruption, anchored in Kujo’s credo that lawyers have to protect their clients regardless of who they are. In his case, they are society’s outcasts – delinquent groups, yakuza, ex‑convicts... At the same time as he secures the best deals possible, he earns public condemnation as a “crooked attorney”.
"Sins of Kujo" is directed by Nobuhiro Doi ("The Voice of Sin") with Takeyoshi Yamamoto and Hiroshi Adachi, from scripts by Nonji Nemoto ("The Honest Realtor").
