Netflix’s stop-motion animation series, "My Melody & Kuromi", releases on 24 July, the streamer confirmed this morning.

The 12 x 13-minute series, which streams exclusively on Netflix, sees the Sanrio characters face a major incident that threatens the fate of Mariland.

K-pop group LE SSERAFIM performs the series theme song.

"My Melody & Kuromi" is directed by Tomoki Misato. The screenplay is by  Shuko Nemoto. 

The series marks the 50th anniversary of My Melody and the 20th anniversary of Kuromi.
