ABS-CBN licenses “Doctor Foster” remake for the Philippines; major move post 2020 franchise fiasco
13 April 2021

Philippines’ programmer ABS-CBN has made its highest profile original production move since the catastrophic loss of its broadcast franchise in May 2020, pounding back into play today with a local version of BBC Studios’ drama, “Doctor Foster”.

The series, which will run for 50 one-hour episodes, goes into production later this year.

This is the third version of the premium drama in Asia after India (“Out of Love”) and Korea (“The World of the Married”).

The local series will be made by ABS-CBN Entertainment.

Executive producers are ABS-CBN president/CEO Carlo Katigak, ABS-CBN COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Entertainment production head Laurenti Dyogi, and ABS-CBN Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal.
