Alpha TV greenlights Greek version of Nippon TV’s “Mother”; 11th international version cements Japanese drama series as Asia’s #1 scripted export

Greek TV station, Alpha TV, has acquired adaptation rights to Japanese broacaster Nippon TV’s “Mother”. 

The deal – the 11th international adaptation for the series – cements the series’ position as Asia’s top scripted format export.  

The Greek version is called “Na me les mama” (“Call me Mom”). 

Airdates in 2025 have not been confirmed. 

“Mother” has been licensed  to CJ E&M (South Korea), MF Yapim (Turkey), STB TV (Ukraine), Radiant Pictures (China), Incognita (France), Atresmedia (Spain), Medyapim for MBC (Saudi Arabia), Green Show Productions (Mongolia), ABS-CBN (Philippines) and in Thailand. 

The scripted format deal was announced during Mipcom in Cannes today by Sally Yamamoto, scripted format licensing at Nippon TV, and Christos Kompos, Alpha TV programme director.
