Asian broadcasters boost factual slates
01 June 2020

Asian broadcasters have picked up rights to three new factual titles from Canadian distributor Blue Ant International.

The finished tape deals are part of new sales of 320 hours to platforms around the world, and come amid global production disruption.

Ludo Dufour, SVP, international co-productions and sales talks about high demand for “escapist, binge-worthy shows”.

The Asia deals are led by Thailand’s True Visions acquisition of Saloon Media’s seven-episode The Bryk Retreat, which follows designer Danielle Bryk renovating a family lake house.

Out of Singapore, regional network A+E Networks Asia has bought Arrow Media/Saloon Media’s See No Evil season five about how crimes are solved.

In Hong Kong, ViuTVsix bought new factual series Witches of Salem, about a real-life witch hunt.
