"Austin" returns in ABC, Screen Australia, ITV Studios and Screen Canberra alliance

ABC, Screen Australia, ITV Studios and Screen Canberra are returning narrative comedy series, "Austin",for an eight-part second season, with Michael Theo back as the straight-talking lead.

Produced by Northern Pictures with Lincoln Pictures, filming starts in the U.K. in early December. The series will be distributed globally by ITV Studios.

Ben Miller (Bridgerton) and Sally Phillips (Veep) are also back, along with Australian actors Gia Carides (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and Roy Billing (Jack Irish).

Season two opens with Austin’s career taking off when “Game Of Scones: Doing Britain On The Spectrum” is picked by an international publisher. As his fame among the bespoke travelling readers grows, he falls under the professional spell of his new agent.Meanwhile, an Australian TV production company options Big Bear. 

Austin season two will air on ABC TV and ABC iview in 2025.
