Hong Kong adaptation of Israeli format “Your Honor” heads to Youku, domestic release tipped on HK free TV; Nick Cheung and Myolie Wu star

Streaming platform Youku has started promoting the Hong Kong/Cantonese version of the Israeli scripted format, “Your Honor” (刍狗之血). Release dates have yet to be confirmed for the premium series, which stars Nick Cheung Ka Fai as Judge Qin Yu and Myolie Wu as policewoman Tang Xuan. A Hong Kong release is on the cards; no confirmation from free-TV channels Viu TV or TVB Jade. Mainland China distribution is likely to be as a finished-tape import, and best bets at the moment are that the series will go out in the original Cantonese with simplified Chinese subtitles. The adaptation is by William Lau’s two-year-old Hong Kong-based indie Ladder Ideas, and the scripted format deal was brokered by Boat Rocker’s SVP, Strategic Partnerships, Asia, Henry Or, according to the Feb 2025 announcement.
