
Mainland platforms Bilibili and Tencent have picked up a wide-ranging raft of non-fiction titles from the U.K. – including true crime, lifestyle, travel, science, tech, history and natural history – from producers such as Lion TV, 72 Films and Two Rivers Media in deals announced by All3media International today as APOS 2025 opened in Bali.
Both Chinese platforms acquired season nine of Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares" in addition to Wildbear Entertainment’s exploration of the world’s most remarkable predators in the four-part one-hour series,"Predator Countdown".
Premium factual titles involved in the deal also include Lion TV’s three-part "Pompeii: The New Dig" and one-off special "Pompeii The New Dig: House Of Treasures", which will be available on bilibili.
Tencent picked up rights to 72 Films' "Rise Of The Billionaires", about the tech titans who shaped our world, as well as documentary films, including Paul Kemp Productions "Searching For Satoshi: The Mysterious Disappearance Of The Bitcoin Creator" and Hoyo Films’ "Ukraine: Enemy In The Woods", among others.
Lifestyle sales include "Gordon Ramsay's Ultimate Home Cooking" and "Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club".
The deals were closed by Tony Ziran Tang, VP, Sales Asia – Finished and Formats.
