Participants from more than 50 countries are set to attend the Dubai International Content Market (DICM), which runs on 10-11 November.
With less than three weeks to go, organisers said more than 150 buyers had registered for the event, which welcomes a diverse range of content execs from around the world.
Three countries – Türkiye, South Korea and Russia – are hosting national pavilions that will showcase a range of content from Arabic content to Korean drama, films and animation.
The DICM Talks programme includes “Content Isn’t King Anymore”, “What Can Cinema and YouTube Learn From Each Other?”, “The Great Content Reset: Fewer Titles, Bigger Impact”, “The Future of TV in MENA” and “The Thirty-Day Race: Is Ramadan Still the Right Model for Arab Drama?”. Screenings and content showcases run alongside the sessions.
Market features include a Producers Connect co-production stream that matches potential partners, with participation so far from Blue Media, Assada Productions, TelevisaUnivision, Kaband, Prime Target and Inter Medya.
Live pitches for original Arabic-language scripted projects from MENA will be held on 11 November.
