Privately owned Vietnamese media group, DatVietVac rolled out its new version of streaming platform VieON, this week promising “the most complete streaming service for Vietnam”, with 100+ TV channels, more than 100,000 hours of content, and a slate of exclusive originals.

Intro pricing offers include a four-month subscription for VND 66,000/US$2.84 (VND 16,000/US$0.69 a month).

DatVietVac also flagged regional and international expansion, mentioning Southeast Asia, Korea, Taiwan, Mainland China and the U.S.

The new platform, unveiled on Monday (15 June), has been in development for four years, the company said.

VieON, born of a partnership with BCG Digital Ventures, has positioned itself as Vietnam’s most advanced OTT platform.

VieON top launch titles are the second season of Gao Nep Gao Te and web drama Hai Duong Trong Gio.

The platform also carries Korean and Chinese content and Hollywood titles.

DatVietVac owns three regular channels – HTV2 Vie Channel, Vie Dramas, Vie GiaiTri.
