Derek Tan steps back from Viddsee; Ho Jia Jian, Michele Schofield, Kenny Tan to lead
02 October 2023

Viddsee co-founder and chief business development officer, Derek Tan, is stepping down from day-to-day business operations at the Singapore-based short-form online platform.

Tan hasn’t said what he will be doing next.

The company said in its announcement on Friday that Tan would retain a position as non-executive director.

The 10-year-old platform was established in January 2013 by Tan and co-founder Ho Jia Jian.

The company moves forward with Ho as chief executive officer; Michele Schofield as senior vice president of commercial; and Kenny Tan as vice president of studios.

No major shift in direction has been unveiled. The three say their “collective vision is to persistently uphold the company’s commitment to promoting narratives and empowering diverse voices in this digital era”.

To date, Viddsee has amassed over three billion views for its 5,000+ titles.
