Singapore’s Mediacorp premieres its business reality competition for Southeast Asian start-ups, "The Big Spark", on in February 2024.

The eight-episode show news network CNA puts 24 start-ups in front of investors. The prize is S$1 million/US$744,000 in seed funding.

"The Big Spark" was co-developed by Mediacorp and producer/director Jonathan Glazier. The call for applications started in October.

Glazier has described the series as part of “the new breed of reality show. Rather than being about conflict and drama, it’s about supportive communities; a series for good, if you will”.

Judges include Mustafa Kapasi, telco M1’s CCO and Mark Micallef, Southeast Asia MD for Google Cloud.
