Feb 2025 premiere for Indonesian version of Korean thriller, “Bad Guys”
10 December 2024

The Indonesian version of Korea’s 2014 OCN thriller, “Bad Guys”, premieres in February 2025.

Base Entertainment, which was behind Netflix’s award-winning “Gadis Kretek” (“Cigarette Girl”), is producing the 10-episode scripted format for domestic streamer Vidio in a licensing deal with CJ ENM Hong Kong.

Ferry Pei Irawan and William Chandra are directing the Indonesian version, which stars Afrian Arisandy.

“Bad Guys” is about a team of hard-core criminals pressed into new lives as crime-fighters.

The Indonesian version is the second adaptation in Asia.

A 12-episode Thai version, produced by Thai-Korean join venture, True CJ Creations, premiered on in 2022 on True ID and on Netflix.

Directed by Piyapan “Tom” Choopetch, the series was #1 on both platforms and ultimately spent seven weeks on Netflix’s top 10 in Thailand, at its peak ahead of global blockbusters such as "Little Women", "Dahmer: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" and "Narco Saints".
