Japan, Australia pick up “The Long Shadow” from All3Media International
16 October 2023

Broadcasters/platforms in Japan and Australia have picked up rights to New Pictures’ “The Long Shadow” from independent distributor All3Media International.

Australian streamer Stan has acquired the series, along with Japan’s NHK Enterprises Inc, which has taken the series for Mystery Channel, one of the pay-TV channels owned by AXN Co Ltd.

“The Long Shadow” tracks the five-year hunt for serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, focusing on the lives of his victims and those of the officers at the heart of the police investigation.

The seven-part series is written by George Kay (“Criminal: UK”) and directed by BAFTA-winning director Lewis Arnold (“Sherwood”).
