Broadcasters across South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and mainland China have acquired a raft of titles from Hong Kong-based documentary and factual specialist, Harbour Rights.
South Korea's Sangsaeng Television Broadcasting acquired the most, picking up 36 episodes of ”Flavours”, the travel series showcasing global destinations, natural landmarks and cultural heritage.
Hong Kong's TVB acquired four episodes of the travel series ”Flavours”, two episodes of ”Masters of Savours” – covering tofu and champagne production – and four episodes of season three of ”Belly of a Nation”, which profiles Singapore hawker vendors and their cultural heritage.
Taiwan Indigenous Television licensed ”End of the Valley”, a six-part Māori drama series blending mythology with thriller elements, while Japanese public broadcaster NHK acquired the wildlife documentary ”The Coral Oasis of the Tuamotu”, a 52-minute exploration of Tahitian biodiversity in the remote Tuamotu Islands.
Also in Hong Kong, RTHK acquired ”Jane New Generation”, a 52-minute portrait of primatologist Jane Goodall, who died in October 2025, alongside ”Inside K-Pop”, exploring the training regimes of South Korean idol trainees.
Phoenix TV, which focuses on investigation and current affairs programming, licensed two titles: ”America at War”, examining U.S. geopolitical strategy and military conflict as a structural constant, and ”Ending Wars and Making Peace”, analysing global conflict escalation, diplomatic negotiation and peacebuilding frameworks.
