LGBTQ+ drama, Miss Universe top Thai demand; Idol Factory, GMM/iQiyi series lead – Parrot Analytics
25 January 2023

Thai director Nuttapong Wongkaveepairoj’s 12-episode LBGTQ+ drama series, "Gap", topped demand in Thailand for the week of 10-16 January 2023, with this year’s Miss Universe competition – the first under new owner, Thai mogul Anne Jakrajutatip – coming in second, according to data science company, Parrot Analytics.

GMM One 31/iQiyi Thai original, "Between Us", attracted enough demand for the same week to earn top spot on the digital top 10 and third place on the overall list. The 12-episode drama, directed by Siwaj Sawatmaneekul and Studio Wabi Sabi, is about two members of a swim team.

"Gap The Series", by local production house Idol Factory, airs on BEC World’s Channel 3 on Saturdays at 11pm. The series also streams on digital platform 3+.

A third local series, WeTV/Tencent’s fantasy/mystery drama "609 Bedtime Story", directed by Tanwarin Sukkhapisit, came second on the digital top 10.
