Media Prima boosts social video in new deal with Grabyo

Malaysian media group, Media Prima, has partnered with cloud video platform Grabyo to boost its mobile, digital and social audiences in Malaysia across all its TV channel brands – TV3, 8TV, ntv7 and TV9.

The deal comes eight months after Media Prima dropped its SVOD ambitions in favour of an AVOD push including a deal with YouTube that kicked off at the end of August last year.

The company said this morning that the new agreement, which opens access to video editing and production tools, would enable expansion of live and real-time social video strategy.

The plan is to enrich the TV experience with supplementary content on digital media.
