03 February 2026

Netflix presented 19 series and 11 films on its 2026 India slate this evening, giving star billing to director Oni Sen's "Operation Safed Sagar – The Untold Story of the Kargil War", a series based on the Indian Air Force’s role in 1999 war with Pakistan. The first-look at the war drama was unveiled in November last year.

The 30 India titles bring Netflix's total original 2026 Asia slate unveiled so far to 105. This covers 10 Chinese-language titles (nine series and one film), 33 shows from Korea, six from Indonesia and 26 from Japan (including live baseball and global production “One Piece”).

Netflix's India content VP, Monika Shergill, this evening described "Operation Safed Sagar" as a series "designed as a true cinematic spectacle with world class special effects, capturing both the intensity of aerial combat and the emotional weight of the mission".

Presenting the slate, Shergill pointed out that an Indian film or series had been in the Netflix global top 10 every week in 2024 and 2025.

Another tentpole 2026 title is "Family Business", created by Hansal Mehta, who also directs, and Niren Bhatt. The series follows a visionary billionaire who grooms a rising tycoon to succeed him at the helm of India’s largest conglomerate. The release date has not been confirmed.

Six of the 2026 titles are returning series, including seasons four and five of "The Great Kapil Show", season four of "Mismatched" and seasons two of "Maamla Legal Hai" and Indian police procedural "Kohrra", which was announced last month (January) and releases on 11 February.

The Tamil titles for 2026 include family gangster drama "Legacy", which was announced in October 2025.

The slate also includes:
