Singapore’s Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) has upped Lew Chuen Hong to chief executive officer of media regulator, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), from 20 June.

He replaces Tan Kiat How, who has been in the role since January 2017.

The MCI said the shuffle was part of the “continuing process of leadership renewal”.

Lew is currently the IMDA’s deputy chief executive (development).

He joined the IMDA in May this year after three years as the country’s Navy chief.
