New kids rights head to China, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan & Thailand
01 September 2020

Broadcasters in China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand have added another bundle of kids titles to their schedules, picking up rights to “Pablo” season two, Paper Owl’s BAFTA-nominated series about autism, and “Mush-Mush and the Mushables”, produced by La Cabane and Thuristar in coproduction with kids entertainment indie, CAKE.

Both were acquired by mainland Chinese streaming platform Mango TV.

In Indonesia, local distributor Red Candle bought 31 compilation episodes of “Angry Birds” and non-dialogue series “Oscar’s Oasis” for broadcast on Antv; and both series of “Space Racers / Ready Jet Go!” were sold to DAAI TV.

The Philippines’ GMA, Taiwan’s Muse, Japan’s Toei and Thailand’s True Visions also licensed various titles, including “Angry Birds Maker Space” and “Oscar’s Oasis”, among others.
