Viu Thailand has greenlit a local remake of JTBC’s Korean blockbuster revenge drama, “Reborn Rich”, for its 2024 schedule.

The new series was announced this evening at the Viu Thailand Upfronts in Bangkok, and is one of at least 25 titles on the Viu Originals line up for this year.

Production and casting details for the Thai production have not been disclosed.

Viu secured global rights (ex Korea) to JTBC’s “Reborn Rich” in one of last year’s Korean drama acquisition coups.

The platform says “Reborn Rich”, which aired as a Viu Original, topped its most-watched charts and was distributed to more than 170 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Japan and the Americas.

Other Viu Thailand originals presented to media agencies and creative partners this evening include “Love Me Again”, “Shadow”, “Close Friend: Soju Bomb” and “The Outing”, along with the previously announced “Get Rich”.
