Wim Wenders appears in the Italian town of Udine this coming weekend (25 April) to present the Golden Mulberry Lifetime Achievement Award to his friend, Perfect Days’ star Yakusho Koji.

“Wenders’ presence is more than just a simple gesture of respect,” Far East Film Festival (FEFF) organisers say.  “It’s an act of cinematic love between two artists who, in the summer of 2022, created something extraordinary together”.

Wenders directed and co-wrote the film with Takuma Takasaki.
