Winners of the 6th annual ContentAsia Awards – and the second to be held in Taiwan – were announced along with the winners of the first ContentAsia Viewer’s Choice Awards at a live+live-streamed ceremony in Taipei on Thursday evening (4 Sept). The full list of winners is below.

Winners came from 12 countries/regions –  China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as regional Asia services – representing TV broadcast and production leaders, streamers and online platforms.

For the first time, microdrama creators were recognised, bringing this fast-rising vertical format into the mainstream fold.

Hosted by Taiwan’s Sharon Huang with KC Global Media’s AXN as Red Carpet Host, the 2025 Awards Ceremony & Party was attended by guests from the entertainment industry across Asia, and streamed live on Facebook.

AXN is the ContentAsia Awards’ official broadcast partner.

More than 150 programmes from across Asia were nominated across 28 categories, highlighting premium video content and talent achievements on multiple platforms in the Asia region.

Along with the first Best Microdrama Award, this year’s categories include Best TV Drama Series for both local and regional audiences, Best Actor, Best  Actress, Best Original Game Show, Best Original Song and Best Factual Entertainment Programme.

For the inaugural event, the Viewers Choice Categories presented by Celestial Tiger Entertainment/CMGO and Rewind Networks  involved Favourite Movies and Dramas as well as Favourite Actors and Actresses from across Southeast Asia.

The nominees were chosen by 99 jury members, hand-picked from across industry sectors in Asia and around the world.

“Asia’s original productions continue to set new benchmarks, delivering powerful, diverse, and authentic stories that resonate with audiences everywhere. While the region isn’t immune to the global shifts reshaping our industry, producers, storytellers, and platforms remain relentless in pushing creative boundaries and championing Asian voices across genres and formats.
