South Asian streaming platform Zee5 Global has expanded its reach in 150 countries in a deal with indie smart TV OS, Whale TV. The agreement gives Zee5 access to all Whale TV-driven operating systems, including on Philips, TCL and Sharp TV sets. Manish Kalra, Zee5’s chief business officer, described the deal as a “strategic alliance”.
