Thai director Nuttapong Wongkaveepairoj’s LBGTQ+ drama, “Gap”, topped demand in Thailand for the week of 10-16 Jan 2023, with this year’s Miss Universe competition – the first under new owner, Thai mogul Anne Jakrajutatip – coming in second, according to data science company, Parrot Analytics. Philippines’ rivals unite on new drama, collaboration blooms with “Unbreak My Heart”
Former sworn rivals – Philippines’ programming giants ABS-CBN and GMA Network – take another step into their alternative future with “Unbreak My Heart”, with Asian streaming platform Viu on board as regional streaming partner. Rewind Networks’ Hits Now counts down to 6 Feb debut; Asian programmer adds current drama, comedy, reality & awards to channels profile
Singapore-based regional channels operator, Rewind Networks, is counting down to the 6 February debut of its new 24-hour regional entertainment channel, Hits Now. The channel, which adds current U.S. and U.K. premium series to Rewind’s portfolio, is the network’s third after the flagship Hits channel, which celebrates its 10th birthday this year, and Hits Movies, which launched in 2018 and turns five this year. ▶ Read the full story on page 6
