Blue Ant expands APAC leadership; Jason Soh adds China & Korea, Bruno Liporoni to lead ANZ & Japan
12 January 2026

BBC Studios Australia veteran Bruno Liporoni has joined Blue Ant Rights as vice president international sales, taking charge of Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The company has also added China and Korea to Asia distribution VP, Jason Soh's portfolio as part of a series of leadership promotions and appointments around the world. Both report to APAC managing director, Jon Penn.

In the Americas, Bryan Gabourie has been promoted to EVP, content monetisation and head of Americas. Blue Ant Rights said Gabourie's expanded remit underscored the company's integrated, end-to-end approach to content monetisation as the business continues to scale.

In addition, Nick Solowski has been promoted to VP, international sales for the U.S. and Canada, expanding his current responsibilities to include content licensing and partnerships in the U.S.

Parent company Blue Ant Media said in today's announcement that the appointments "follow a period of significant corporate momentum". This includes the reverse takeover of Boat Rocker Media in 2025 and the start of trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange along with the acquisition of U.S.-based streamer MagellanTV and the proposed acquisition of Thunderbird Entertainment Group.

"These acquisitions are expected to further strengthen Blue Ant’s scale, capabilities and distribution business globally," the company said.

Blue Ant Studios' co-president, Mark Bishop, said the appointments "allow us to maximise our dedicated regional sales support in APAC and North America, critical to scaling our content portfolio and growing our genre offering".

“We’ve built a leadership team with deep market expertise and strong global relationships with a clear goal to further expand Blue Ant Rights and unlock new opportunities for our premium content worldwide," Bishop said.
