Celestial Tiger Entertainment’s Mandarin movie streaming service, CMGO, has rolled out a customised Indonesia offering for Rp42,180 (approx US$2) a month, with a CTV function on Samsung and VIDAA-operated TVs (mainly Toshiba and Hisense brands) expected to be added this week.
The iOS and Android mobile service went live on 22 Oct.
Platform carriage will run alongside the DTC service. Negotiations are underway, the Hong Kong-based programmer has told ContentAsia.
The streaming service launched in Singapore in August 2024, followed by Malaysia in November 2024.
The Indonesia content proposition is consistent with CMGO in the rest of the region – “the latest and greatest Chinese movie offerings” – with Bahasa Indonesia subtitles and a completely localised interface.
The line up includes “Cold War 1994”, “Blades of the Guardians: Wind Rises in the Desert” and “Sons of the Neon Night”.
