Chinese streamer iQiyi has expanded its European footprint in a new partnership with Canal+ Group’s Thema and European platform Netgem.

The distribution agreement, disclosed today, put iQiyi’s streaming app on Netgem TV in the U.K. and Ireland for the first time.

The app went live last week, with titles such as “My Roommate is a Gumiho”, Chinese drama “My Dear Guardian”, and iQiyi's first Southeast Asia Original, “The Ferryman: Legends of Nanyang”.

The deal was done by Anna Pak Burdin, iQiyi's Singapore-based international head of business development.
