Media Prima returns prime-time weekend drama “Aku Bukan Ustazah” to flagship free-TV channel, TV3, this weekend, just short of a year since the first season finale.
The drama will stream on Media Prima’s tonton platform 24 hours before the free-TV premiere.
The number of episodes in the new series has been bumped up by 25% to a total of 35 eps from 28 in season one.
“Aku Bukan Ustazah 2” replaces “Keluarga Itu”, a 30-episode family saga that premiered on 28 February and ends on 9 May 2025.
The new season of “Aku Bukan Ustazah”, which airs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, returns the three leads – Aminah, Adam and Omar – as they continue their journeys exploring the meaning of love, sacrifice and revenge.
Erysha Emyra, MK K-Clique, Zahiril Adzim, Shaza Bae and Haneesya Hanee reprise their roles for season two.
TV3 has promised “a deeper, more emotional storyline” and “a new dimension of Aminah’s life, touching on issues of mental health, love, and the enduring nature of family”.
The series is directed by Idora Abdul Rahman and produced by Global Station.
