ViacomCBS Networks, Rakuten partner on streaming, content & ecommerce for Japan; Nick+ to launch on Rakuten TV

Nickelodeon’s Nick+ SVOD streaming service launches on Japan’s Rakuten TV video-on-demand platform on 28 April as part of a broader deal announced during APOS this week by ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) and Japan’s Rakuten Group.

The partnership also includes the creation of a dedicated Nickelodeon zone on Japanese e-commerce platform, Rakuten Ichiba. The launch is scheduled for May 2021.

Nick+’s line up includes “SpongeBob SquarePants”, “PAW Patrol”, “Blaze and the Monster Machines”, “Bubble Guppies” and “Dora the Explorer”.
