FOX Entertainment Opens Malaysia Hub for Survival Show “Extracted”
12 October 2026

FOX Entertainment Global has opened a turnkey production hub in Lake Kenyir, Malaysia, for international licensees of survival format “Extracted”. Qualifying productions in Malaysia can claim tax incentives of up to 30% on eligible spend.

Season three of the U.S. series has just wrapped at the new facility, the company said on Sunday ahead of today’s opening of MIPCOM 2026.

The announcement was made by FOX Entertainment Global president, Prentiss Fraser.

“Extracted” contestants are left alone in the wilderness with no training or supplies. Their loved ones watch from a remote headquarters and decide whether to let them continue or press an “extract” button, which ends their run and the family’s chance at the grand prize.
